This year, participants in the 2026 Tatura Pedals and Steps event can make every step and pedal count by fundraising for the I Care for Cancer Care @ GV Health Appeal.
GV Health is one of Victoria's six designated regional public health services, yet it is the only one without an Integrated Cancer Centre. To help address this critical gap, the GV Health Foundation has committed to raising $5 million to deliver a fully integrated cancer centre for our region. Every dollar raised by Tatura Pedals and Steps participants will support this important appeal.
An Integrated Cancer Centre will bring modern cancer treatment, support services, and specialist care together under one roof, helping more local people access life-changing care close to home and near the support of family and friends. By reducing the need to travel for treatment, it will ease the physical, emotional, and financial burden often experienced by those facing cancer.
I’m proud to be fundraising for the I Care for Cancer Care @ GV Health Appeal. Please sponsor my participation and help raise vital funds to support the development of an Integrated Cancer Centre at GV Health. Every donation will help improve access to cancer care for people across our region, reducing the need to travel and allowing patients to remain close to their loved ones during treatment.
In the past years , I have participated in Tatura Pedals and Steps (Tatura 200 ). This year’s bike ride is more special , as I ride for I Care for Cancer Care @GV Health Appeal . I have been a privileged and proud member of the oncology team for the past 17years , as a Breast Care Nurse .
First hand , I have witnessed the impact a cancer diagnosis and treatment has on local patient’s and their families. It’s been a long time dream to have an Integrated Cancer Centre , here at GV Health.
